How it all started...
Genesis Church began in 2010 with the desire to reach people in the Spokane area for Christ. We have a commitment to help individuals who have spiritual questions to find answers that are both relevant and solidly rooted on the Bible. In short, we want to make disciples…people who want to learn how to live like Christ and help others do the same. Making disciples was our vision before Genesis began, and now that we are a few years old, that passion has only grown and is our motivation for all that we do!
Growing Deeper
One seed landed in shallow soil. Without depth, the plant withered. Without spiritual depth, we don’t have the answers we need when life happens. It is our purpose to help each person discover the truth found in the Bible in order to live with greater purpose.
Supporting Each Other
One plant was found among nothing but thorns & weeds. Needless to say it didn’t do well. If we try to live like Christ, but don’t develop relationships with other Christians, we won’t thrive. We strongly encourage each believer, to be part of community groups or other environments where they can share their life with others who have the same purpose.
Reaching the World
The last plant had both depth and support, and it multiplied itself over up to a hundred times. The Christian life is never meant to be an end in itself. In fact, being a spectator at church is kind of boring (no matter what church it is). Christ calls us to serve Him by serving each other with the special gifts that each believer possesses. It is our purpose to provide an environment for everyone to discover and serve in the calling given to them.
